The Center for Chronic Disease Research & Policy (CDRP) is hosting a virtual seminar series titled "Transcending Boundaries: Immigrant and Refugee Health in 2020." The series will explore immigrant and refugee health disparities and social inequalities within the broader context of US policies and healthcare. The series will feature four dynamic speakers throughout October, the first being David Marrero, PhD, Professor, Public Health and Endocrinology, University of Arizona Health Sciences, and Director, Center for Border Health Disparities. Marrero will speak on the topic Addressing Diabetes Disparities in Hispanic Populations: A Tale from the American Southwest.
