Join Dr. Thomas Fisher, Emergency Medicine Physician at UChicago Medicine, as he discusses his new book, The Emergency: A Year of Healing and Heartbreak in a Chicago ER, which chronicles his efforts “to steer his patients and colleagues through a crushing pandemic and a violent summer, amidst a healthcare system that seems determined to leave them behind.” He will be joined in conversation by Dr. Heather Renfro, a second-year Resident in Emergency Medicine and Isaiah Selkridge, a rising third-year medical student, both at UChicago.
