Join the Biological Sciences Division's (BSD) Graduate Recruitment Initiative Team for a screening of Paris is Burning, a 1990 American documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston. Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, the film chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it. A post-film discussion will be moderated by Tobias Spears, Director of Diversity Initiatives in the BSD. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
