Join a discussion of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in language teaching. Professors Claudia Quevedo-Webb (University of Chicago) and Juan A. Godoy Peñas (University of Cincinnati) will share their work and lead this session on the implementation of DEI by incorporating social justice topics in language classroom, addressing the role of students’ identities in the learning process, and promoting critical thinking. This session is open to UChicago academics.
