The Coalition for Immigrant Mental Health (CIMH) is a collaborative community based and research informed initiative created to provide a venue for immigrants regardless of status and those working with undocumented, refugee, and other marginalized immigrant communities to gather and exchange information, resources, and experiences.
The focus of this year’s gathering is on the intersection of practice, policy and advocacy: supporting the mental health and wellness of immigrant children and youth. Mass migration of families and children due to political and crime-related violence combined with the current sociopolitical context in the United States places immigrants at increased physical and mental health risks. This year’s gathering will focus on providing attendees with current information on immigration policies and their impact on the wellbeing of children and youth.
