The Black Arts Festival is a one-day event hosted by the University of Chicago Black in Academia Resource Group. It presents a unique opportunity to convene members of the UChicago and surrounding communities to celebrate and highlight the intellectual and artistic accomplishments of Black people on our campus, in the neighborhoods surrounding UChicago, and within the broader Chicagoland area. During this event, Black business owners will showcase their work and increase awareness around their brand. Additionally, speakers will discuss the history of Juneteenth, the intersections of Black identities, and the future of Black Americans.
